In each center, time is allotted for developmental activities, which are planned and implemented by teachers along with time for “free play”. Our centers include:
Nature and Science Encinitas Child Development Center’s schedule starts at 8:30 a.m. The entire school meets for Circle Time to discuss the day’s activities, weekly theme, and anything pertinent for the day. We also read stories, sing songs, and share. |

Circle time provides an opportunity for children to develop a sense of belonging to a group. Social Skills are enhanced when children learn to share ideas and listen to the ideas of others. Activities are presented daily to provide children with opportunities to develop skills in the area of dramatic play, science, cooking, math, blocks, art, and language development.

Snack is served at 9 a.m., then we divide into our individual classes and start centers. Lunch is served at 11:00 a.m. and from 11:30 until 12:30 we play outside. Half-day children are picked up at 12:30pm., as we begin naptime with a story and small circle. As children wake, quiet activities or outdoor play is available. Afternoon snack is served at 3:00 p.m. Afternoon activities are “free choice” until 4:30 p.m. when we have circle time again to review the day’s activities and wind down. Providing your child with a successful preschool experience is achieved through open communication between parents and staff. Parent visits and participation is always encouraged, as we observe and open door policy. Our director and teachers are available to speak with you about your child each day. With your help, we can reach our mutual goal of enhancing your child’s early educational experience. We are always striving to improve the quality of our program, so any thoughts or suggestions are always welcome. |
