We also support an individual approach to learning, striving to recognize each child’s individual preferences and abilities. Our curriculum is planned and implemented so that activities are appropriate for each child to grow, socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically.

ECDC has established a daily schedule that encompasses all areas of learning and provides children with a familiar routine. Since children feel more secure when they can predict the sequence of events and have some control over their day, we follow a consistent schedule which helps build trust, yet allows for flexibility and spontaneity, when needed.

Our number one goal at Encinitas Child Development Center is to provide children with the opportunity to explore, experience, and most important, to succeed. “A child’s work is play” and through play, each child is learning to think for themselves, to solve problems, and to get along with others. This “play” is the basis for ensuring each child’s academic success.

Encinitas Child Development Center offers an educational preschool program for children from 2 to 5 years old.  Focusing on the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of children we have provided “centers” to allow children the opportunity to explore, to experience, and most important, to succeed.  The children do not need to be toilet trained, but must be mentally and physically able participate in our program.

Encinitas Child Development Center providers a variety of developmentally appropriate activities because we believe that each child has unique interests, experiences, and abilities. The environment, schedule, and expectations for children’s behavior and learning, encourages teachers to respect and value differences among children.
